FIRST LEGO League Explore is designed to introduce science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts to kids ages 6 to 10 while exciting them through a brand they know and love − LEGO ®.

Even at primary school age, the children develop creative solutions to real problems together, thereby strengthening the skills that are important for the future: self-confidence, teamwork and knowledge of technology and science. The competition involves teams of up to 10 students, supervised by an adult mentor, who build Lego Mindstorms robots to compete against other teams from around the world. Guided by adult Coaches, teams of up to 6 members (Ages 4-6) explore a real-world scientific problem such as food safety, recycling, energy, etc. A programme for 4-6-year-olds which develops their STEM skills from an early age! Teams also create a project by researching a real-world problem in the field of the season’s challenge theme, and creating an innovative solution to that problem. FIRST® LEGO® League(FLL) gives students grades 5-8 and their adult Mentors the opportunity to work and create together to solve a common problem. Every year, teams of up to 10 students build, program and compete with a robot, while also learning about a modern problem in science and engineering and developing solutions for it. FIRST LEGO League Explore (formerly FIRST LEGO League Junior) offers a child-friendly and playful introduction to the world of research and robotics. Designed for students in grade 4-8, ages 9-14 .
