Arabian Horse synthesizes each of GusGus's previous eras into a single package glistening with polish and brimming with ideas, dripping wet with influences and yet so distinctly GusGus. The Horse evaporates without making much impression. There is still an element of arctic winds and dusky clubs but they have let in a ray of a sound bright, honest and soulful. It sounds very SOFT and beautiful, there is a lot of work (seemingly) behind it, but for those who knew the earlier albums it's a downfall.
